E-5 Air Cathode

The Electric Fuel E-5 Air Electrode is designed for oxygen reduction in high power applications. The E-5 Cathode is currently used in prototype applications in various alkaline fuel cells requiring high power. It can be used in metal-air batteries, AFCs, DBFCs, air depolarized batteries, or any application requiring gas diffusion electrodes.

Our Engineering Services can work with the customer to customize our Air Electrode for your application, as well as advise on the use of the Air Electrode including:

• cutting, bending and punching the Air Electrode
• sealing the edge of the Air Electrode
• attaching to the Air Electrode to draw current
• optimizing the color of the Teflon to fit your environmental requirements and high current requirements
• optimizing the other components in the Air Electrode for your application
